We hope that you, your team and family are in perfect health and that also your business is steady despite the challenging situation! The exceptional year 2020 is now coming to an end and we would like to take a moment to look back on the past 12 months and to thank you for your partnership.
2020 was a tough and tense year and as many, we were not prepared for what happened. Our motto was - prepare for the worst and work for the best. You helped us immensely. It has been with incredible efforts of each and every one in the h/p/cosmos family including all teams and of course you out in the markets around the globe, that we have managed to end this year with excellent results. Despite all the troubles arising from the COVID-19 crisis, the year 2020 has been among the 3 most successful years in our 32 years of history thanks to our partners and our team.
During a time where most companies were working short-time or forced to lay off workers, we decided to invest significantly in components, to increase our warehouse stock and to review and adapt processes throughout the organization. With these decisions taken, h/p/cosmos was able to get through the slower months of 2020 without laying off a single worker or working short-time. Therefore we were set to take on the arising order volumes in the last third of 2020. With production gaining pace again and our warehouses being filled, we were able to manufacture and ship all orders on time! Thank you for the outstanding sales performance in 2020!
But let us also reflect a second and see what we have learned apart from crisis management: our world is widely interconnected – the society, economies, supply chains, travel and – unfortunately – also viruses. As social creatures we all need social interaction and human contact, both in business and private lives. We have again learned that we are more flexible than we expected and that the only constant is the variable! It is the most adaptable to change that will survive. The pandemic gave a massive boost to technology, digitalization and distance sales and this will permanently change the way we work. And last but not least, this crisis taught us again and again that life, health and support for our society are precious. So let’s be grateful for what we have.
