When it comes to performance testing, h/p/cosmos treadmills are the tool of choice for most leading sports clubs, training facilities and universities around the globe. 

Speeding up or slowing down a treadmill, changing or lowering elevation can be difficult and distracting when running or cycling at higher speeds. To solve this, we developed an automatic speed and elevation control system for our treadmills based on the athlete’s position by combining the proven coscom protocol and the localization of the subject via Microgate Optogait/Optojump bars.

Professional performance testing takes place behind closed doors most of the time. One of the leading German YouTube channels “freekickerz” visited the UKE Athleticum in Hamburg and recorded in-depth insights to the procedures and analysis of such a performance test.
