Ironman World Champion and top triathlete Patrick Lange dropped in to our headquarter to do some testing of his equipment on our instrumented treadmill!

Some days ago our local distribution partner in Hong Kong One Measurement Group Ltd. put a brand new system in place at the Shatin Hospital in Hong Kong! The hospital, mainly focussing on rehabilitation, will going forward have a great tool, consisting of an airwalk® ap unweighting system and an instrumented pluto® treadmill with zebris pressure distribution management as well as visual cueing, to monitor the rehabilitation process and to drive gait analysis, gait therapy and gait training of the patients on a completely new level!

When it comes to aging, most effects associated have a restrictive impact on the subjects’ lives. A great study published in scientific reports on nature.com deals with the instability resistance training of 68 older adults. Besides various techniques the investigators utilized the h/p/cosmos robowalk® expander elastic bands along with a quasar treadmill in order to strengthen the hip/thigh adductors and abductors. As a result, the training group was able to improve their working memory, processing speed and response inhibition.

Looking back on more than 30 years of experience and production, our service technicians out in the field are one of our keys to success and a clear commitment to the quality and standards of our treadmills. Again this year, we hosted a 2.5 days service basic training for our partners from the D-A-CH region. This year’s training provided general insights to the technical setup, mechanics and electronics of our devices and also updated the participants on the latest updates and innovations.

Many new buildings and changes can be seen right from the outside of the SLK Clinics in Heilbronn (GER). But also on the inside, big changes and innovations have been put in place! Going forward, the team of physiotherapists led by Joerg Schaeffler will be working with their new and multipurpose treadmill quasar® with adjustable handrails as well as the airwalk® ap unweighting system!
